Mitch, a rookie LA cop is having nightmares and meets Keiko a girl he had believed to be a figment of his dream. An irresistible Japanese naïf and runaway daughter of a Yakuza boss, Keiko reveals surprising skills that save the day. Against all odds, together they ace Mitch’s jaded sergeant Diesel, and bring down the erudite though brutal Kazimir, a disillusioned Russian mobster.
MITCH TRAIGER is as eager as the next rookie who gets a crack at working undercover narcotics for the LAPD. But at 26, crazy nightmares are getting in the way of him doing a great job. He's spiraling through wild dreams of a beautiful young Geisha girl who haunts him from time to time and keeps him from his much needed sleep.
DIESEL, 50, his angry streetwise partner is not too happy about being burdened with Mitch, but decides to make the best of it and takes him on. They have a “big fish” to catch -- the erudite though brutal KAZIMIR, a disillusioned Russian mobster. Though wary, Diesel tells Mitch that he needs to get his act together and get into Kazimir’s lair pretending to be “Rocco,” a Latino drug dealer with a local rep.
Mitch approaches Kazimir’s mansion in the Hollywood Hills, ready to go undercover, when - lo and behold - he meets a "vision." Her name is KEIKO, an irresistible Japanese naïf dressed in Harajuku fashion, standing in the sunlight with a star map. He is stunned by her beauty and her smile, but also because she's the same girl from his wild dream!
It's a true meet-cute. They talk, they giggle and flirt. They are each other’s “dream come true.” But Keiko is not all she seems. A runaway daughter of a Yakuza boss she says she just wants to see Hollywood before she “dies.”
Mitch is bewildered by this, but feels very protective toward her... and then he remembers: he's in the middle of a major drug undercover operation, and is running ten minutes behind schedule! No matter. He tells Keiko, the new love of his life, to give him thirty minutes and then he will come back and show her the city. He emphasizes there is danger up the hill, and to step out of harm's way, and even gives her his back-up gun for protection (which totally turns her on!)
Mitch finally makes it up to the mansion undercover as "Rocco." He is let in by one of Kazimir's henchmen who takes his jacket and pats him down, giving him enough time to look over the scene where two of the mobster's bored, scantily clad girls are filming each other, and a morbidly depressed Kazimir bemoans his fate while quoting Yeats. Offered the "product" to try, Mitch declines and the obviously unstable, Kazimir directs his henchmen to collar Mitch. Just as he is about to choke to death, Keiko, of all people, comes in disguised as the pool cleaner! A gun battle ensues and Mitch is downed. Kazimir grabs Keiko, holding her hostage, but Mitch pleads for her, and, and not wanting the extra hassle of having to deal with her, Kazimir lets her go.
After a short back and forth when it seems that Kazimir really will blow Mitch's head off, Keiko bursts through the door unleashing some wild jujitsu moves and takes him down!
Against all odds, Mitch and Keiko have aced the jaded Diesel and brought the menacing Kazimir to the ground!
As they come together in a final kiss, there is a loud banging on the front door. Is it Diesel? NO! It's the Yakuza, sent by Keiko's father to bring her home.
Keiko asks for Mitch's help as they stand together in formation, ready to do battle with whatever comes next.
Whew! What a way to meet a girl!
